Play Mario Forever Advance Edition
Nice, I have the 38 level patch from when it was up on Romhacking.net. But it was removed recently.Supposedly Solar Magic Advance:Is supposed to let you hack saves, but for the life of me I can't get it to actually work. I don't know I'm pushing the right options or not. Getting it to work would be nice to adding 'items' to my saves like I had cards.
Most useful would be to give myself those card only boomerang items, or the card only magic feather items. This patch sort of works, but removes the fun of collecting items in the game, but it does give you access to all, all at once, and reusable.I did find a 14 switch save after a while linked from a YouTube video (this is all the switches including unreleased ones, one of them is the semi-broken item drop box like from Super Mario World). There is a 7 switch version here on this youtube video linked in the replies below. Presumably only the 'released' switches form US/Japan. You open the tool, go to eCards - eCard Maker Menu, open the 'Save' tab. From there, select the 'Switch Effects' menu and select which Switch effects you want and to which file slot they should be applied.Note that selecting the switches will not enable or select the effects, the important bit is that you select the effects you want. Then press 'Add Effects', select your save file to modify and enjoy.EDIT: I just realised I have only gotten it to work in the e-reader levels.

Regular gameplay is unaffected. Well, I was able to get the red switch and the effect 'Enemies replaced by harder ones' to work but only in the ereader save slot.
You can verify this by selecting the classic 1-1 world. The first enemy should no longer be a goomba but a spiny. I was not able to get this working with the regular save slots 1 - 3.Furthermore, my e-reader arrived yesterday, but I am struggling to get it to work. The european ROM will not connect to the e-reader at all (my guess that it's not able to find a US e-reader I would need a non-existing european e-reader).
The US ROM is able to connect to the e-reader and load the application. It even goes as far as scanning the dotcode for the red switch sucessfully but then throws a communication error. I tried this on my EZ-Flash IV, my Supercard Mini SD and my REVO K101 plus with exactly the same results. I wonder if it would be different with an everdrive GBA (which I don't have).EDIT: despite what I said above, I got it to work with the US ROM on my EZ-Flash IV and my Flash2Advance cards. Still struggling to get the e-reader to connect to the european ROM.
